Supernatural: Moving From Ordinary to Extraordinary
Luke 24:45-53; Acts 1-9; Acts 2
God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things! (Acts 4:13, Acts 5:12-16)
Doing extraordinary things means taking responsibility!
Our responsibility is having power to serve God! (Acts 1:8)
As a believer, it's our responsibility to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit!
Here are some simple truths about it:
What is it?
- God's great outpouring (Acts 2:17)
- God's gift (Acts 1:4)
- God's indwelling (John 14:17)
This gift gives you a deeper understanding and passion for God!
Why do I need it?
- Gives you power
- Opens you to receive additional spiritual gifts
- Helps you pray
- Helps you live a devoted life
Who is it for?
- EVERYONE! (Acts 2:39)
He uses the gift, promise, and power of the Holy Spirit to move you from the natural to the supernatural! (Acts 1:4)
You receive it by waiting! (Acts 2:38-39; Luke 24:45-53)
- We wait by worship and prayer
- We wait by repenting of our attitude
- We wait by renouncing sin
- We wait by obeying and surrendering our will over to God
- We wait by being thirsty for more of the Lord
- We wait by asking God according to His will
- We wait by having faith
